Mr. Khaled Fahad Al-Wogayan, Chairman
Prior to his current position, Mr. Al Wogayan was Head of Private Banking at Kuwait Finance House (KFH), (1993-2006) and Head of Marketable Securities at Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (1986-1993). Mr. Al Wogayan served also as a Board member at Warba Insurance Co (1985-1993), Al Mabani Company from (1998-2005). He’s a Kuwaiti citizen and holds a Bachelor of Science from Northern Arizona University, US.
Mr. Adnan Abdulmohsen Al-Marzouk, Vice-Chairman
Mr. Al Marzouk is a reputable Kuwaiti businessman with several business interests both in Banking and real estate sectors (Al Marzouk family is one of the main founders of National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) and one of the largest shareholders of Bank of Kuwait and Middle East (BKME)). Mr. Al Marzouk served as Treasurer of Gulf Investment Corp (GIC) from 1985 till 1990, Board member of Kuwait Finance House (1993-1998), Chairman of Al Marzouk Trading Co (1990-present) and Board member of Boubyan Bank (2009-present). Mr. Al Marzouk holds a degree of Industrial engineering from University of Southern California, US.
Mr. Habib Mohammed Taqi Behbehani, Board Member
Mr. Behbehani founded the Hafez Trading Company over 40 years ago, beginning operations as a Pharmaceutical supplier. Since then, through Mr. Behbehani’s leadership, Hafez has further expanded the medical line of business by becoming the exclusive agents in Kuwait for a global pharmaceuticals company and establishing pharmacies. In addition, today Hafez also are the exclusive agents for an international medical device maker, Shell Oil, and international consumer product companies. He is the Chairman of the Board of the Al-Anwar International Investment Company since 2005 and the a Member of the Union of Importers of Medicines and Pharmacy Owners (Kuwait) since 2007.
Dr. Saud Abdallah Al-Farhan, Board Member
Dr. Al-Farhan began his career at the Kuwait Directorate General for Civil Aviation in 1979. He then became an Engineering Advisor at the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development in 1991, an Assistant Professor at the College for Technological Studies in 1992, and the Assistant Under Secretary for Information Technology and Petroleum Media at the Kuwait Ministry of Oil in 2001. In 2005, he became the General Manager at the National Industries Company for Building Materials. In addition to being a board member at Al-Rouyah, he is the Deputy Chairman at First Qatar Real Estate Development Company, and a board member at Ikarus Petroleum Industries Company.
Mr. Najib Ibrahim Al-Wogayan, Board Member
Mr. Al-Wogayan is one of the founding partners of (NEN) Al Wagayan, Al Awadhi & Al Saif, a leading law firm in Kuwait and a member of DLA Piper. As one of the most well-known litigators in the State of Kuwait, Mr. Al Wagayan’s cases regularly make the local newspapers. He has undertaken many studies and research works in the legal field. He is the author of two books titled “Political Crimes in Kuwait” and “Capital Punishments” in addition to having his own legal column in a well-known local weekly magazine and head of the development of criminal legislation committee. Mr. Al Wagayan also has extensive experience in criminal litigation involving the misappropriation of funds and other white collar crimes. Mr. Al-Wagayan is a member of the Kuwait Bar Association. He is a 1982 Law Graduate of Kuwait University, and earned his higher education from University of San Diego.
Mr. Ahmad Aqeel Al-Aqeel, Board Member
Mr. Al-Aqeel was the Manager of Retail Banking Services for National Bank of Kuwait’s local and UK Branches till end of 2000. In 2001 he became the Manager of the Retail Department for National Telecommunication Company. In 2003 he moved on to become the Deputy Executive Manager for Advanced Technology Company. Mr. Al-Aqeel is also the chairman of United Medicines Company, deputy chairman of Five Group Holding Company, and a consultant to the board at Gulf Real Estate Company. He received his B.S. in Finance from Kuwait University in 1990.
Mr. Mohammad Ahmed Al-Kandari, Board Member
Mr. Al-Kandari started his career at the Kuwait Ministry of Information in 1977. He then moved to Kuwait Foreign Trading Contracting & Investment Company in 1982 as VP and Head of Foreign Exchange and Money Markets. In 1995 he joined Kuwait Finance House as Treasury Department Manager. While at KFH he was the Deputy Chairman of KFH Ijarah House Malaysia and the Deputy Chaimran of Liquidity Management Center. Currently Mr. Al-Kandari is the Deputy CEO of First Investment Company in Kuwait. In addition he is chairman of First Real Estate Company and a director at First Investment Bank (Bahrain).
